Mahatma Gandhi Popularly known as BAPU got the title of Father of Nation for his unmatched dedication towards the freedom of India and we all remember him as the great freedom fighter was born on 2nd October, 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat state.

His full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Rabindranath Tagore gave him the title Mahatma which means a great soul. At the age of 13 he got married to Kasturba.

  2. Gandhiji was expired on 30th January, 1948 at the age of 78 years. Gandhiji was very much moved by the sufferings of Indians.

After passing matriculation, he studied law in Bombay University and went to England for graduation. He became a barrister in 1891. In 1893, Gandhiji went to South Africa for a legal case. At that time, the African government was used to ill treat the Indians living there.
